The interdisciplinary system of Latin United states & Latino/a Studies (LALS) fosters an abundant and critical comprehension of Latin America, including Brazil while the Hispanic Caribbean, with its broadest feeling. Latin American & Latino/a Studies Training Goals
The LALS Program has four primary goals for its pupils:
- The arts and the social sciences to understand Latin America and Latinos in the United States through the lenses of literature.
- To research the precise historic conditions that have shaped—and continue to shape—these communities.
- To produce interaction abilities in Spanish and/or Portuguese.

The Minor in Latino/a Studies
